Smart energy Meters Installation

E March is strategically collaborating with two significant Advance Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISPs) to spearhead Consumer Indexing (CI), Meter Installation (MI) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities for Smart Energy Meters across India.

The initial focus areas for CI, MI and O&M operations are Assam, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Delhi. The expansion to other regions will be contingent upon the business requirements and demands.

To ensure the successful execution of Installation & Commissioning operations, E March has equipped its teams with thorough training and established a well-defined hierarchical control system. Every field personnel undergoes a minimum of 4 hours of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Training.

Stringent measures are in place to cover all statutory requirements for the field personnel, including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI) and Group Insurance. Before deployment in the field, individuals receive comprehensive induction training, encompassing topics such as First-Aid training for Electric shock, proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Electrical safety and guidelines for the accurate reporting of incidents and accidents.

To ensure ongoing competence and adherence to safety protocols, refresher training sessions are conducted periodically. Additionally, EHS audits are regularly carried out and appropriate actions are implemented based on the audit findings.

Looking forward, E March is poised to increase its presence in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities once the current phase of installation is completed. This strategic move positions E March as a key player in the Smart Energy Meter landscape, emphasizing its commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence.

Meter Installation

It is the process of installation and commissioning of meters as per correct data collected during consumer indexing and further collecting and recording the following data

  • Newly installed smart meter details such as Meter number, Reading kVah/kWh, Type, Manufacturer detail, MD, Terminal cover seal number, Body cover seal number, Error code if displayed any, Installation date, Meter outer box seal number1 and seal number2.
  • Location details such as Longitude and Latitude.
  • Images and consumer acknowledgment such as old meter photo, New meter photo, Meter Replacement Note photo, New meter bar code data etc.,

  1. Single phase Smart Energy meter installation
    These are installed in Residential establishments to reap the benefits of Smart Energy meters such as cost saving, better-decision making, more accurate billing, sustainability, improved efficiency and enhanced customer experience.
  2. Three phase Smart Energy meter installation
    These are installed in residential and commercial establishments.
  3. Three phase LT CT Smart Energy meter installation
    These are installed in industrial establishments.
  4. Three phase Distribution transformer Smart Energy meter installation
    These are installed to implement advanced solutions with integrated measurement and communication features. This helps in managing area wise DTs, to identify high loss areas, to reduce power theft, to predict and plan electrical infrastructure expansion and to reduce power failures.
  5. Three phase CT/PT HT Smart Energy meter installation
    To measure and monitor the power exported from HT side, these meters are installed.
  6. Three phase CT/PT Feeder Smart Energy meter installation
    To measure and monitor the complete feeder, these meters are installed.
